   Andres Hansen Minimize

Andres has been boarding for 12 years and is still just as enthusiastic about being on the lake as when he cleared the wake for his first time. Although Wakeboarding was his first boarding experience behind a boat, since acquiring a Wakesurf board it has become a passion. Competing for the first time in a competition in Summer 2011, Andres placed 5th in 10K Lakes  Wakesurfing Championship. By riding along side the best Wakesurfers in the country he is excited to share what he has learned from his experiences with his students.

Andres has had a lot of experience with coaching and being coached. He was involved in Gymnastics for 11 years, being a part of the club team at TAGS Gymnastics. He then moved on to Diving beginning his Freshman year of High School. He competed for Minnetonka High School through his senior year leading to a State Championship title. He is now a part of Men's Swimming and Diving program at the University of Minnesota.

Along with being an athlete, Andres has also coached for over 6 years. He began coaching gymnastics in his 8th grade year at TAGS Gymnastics, teaching beginning and intermediate level gymnastics to kids 5 to 12. He coached gymnastics for 3 years before moving on to diving. He has helped to coach high school practices and was recently a member of the coaching staff for the University of Minnesota Diving Camp.

Having been an athlete for most of his life he believes that he has the skill set to be a great coach for any and all skill levels and ages. He is thrilled to have a chance to show and share the passion that he has not only for Wakeboarding and Wakesurfing but also the passion he has for meeting new people along the way.
